The new Regtix is here. We know we have a lot to prove to our customers, their fans, and ourselves, but we're up for the challenge. By way of introduction, I'd like to set the stage for what Regtix is and where we're headed.

Our Team

For our customers, the best thing about Regtix is our people and the way we work together. While most businesses pride themselves on how many employees they can hire, our goal is to work smarter and faster in a way that provides more value with less time and effort. This works because our people are the best at what they do.

So, now I'm sure you're asking, "When can I meet this "team"?" We'll make more specific and personal introductions in the coming weeks here on our blog.

Our First Passion

Second only to our people is the importance of our passion for events. We love everything about events. Some events entertain and some educate. Some exhibit competition and some create it. Some events bring tens of thousands of people together for one purpose or idea, while others are comprised of small, intimate groups to create personal and powerful experiences.

The great thing about events is that, in one form or another, they are all about community, progress, hope, and fun. Events bring out the best in people, and for all these reasons we are passionate about doing our part to create successful, meaningful events.

Our Second Passion

Yes, we have two great passions. In addition to our love and dedication to successful events, we are in love with technology. In particular, we're in love with technology that makes things happen.

We love transactions. We love connecting buyers to sellers. We love connecting educators to learners. We love making connections between people who have the same goals and desires, and bridging gaps between people who may not see eye to eye.

We love pushing technology to its limits. We love writing code that requires less processing power. We love combining software and hardware expertise to create systems that respond instantly to every request and never go down. And most of all, we love watching thousands of people interacting with our systems and accomplishing something that makes them happy (getting their tickets!).

We believe that technology can and must be easy to use. We believe that software that accomplishes a meaningful purpose is something truly beautiful. Sure, this all sounds pretty sappy to most people. But it's who we are, and we're not going to hide it.

Our Future

Unlike most start-ups that are looking for some big sell-out pay day, Regtix has a vision for the long haul. Our vision is that we will have a meaningful, positive impact on the event ticketing and registration industry. Here are some of our goals:

• Lower Costs
  We know that people don't like paying the exorbitant fees charged by the big box office ticket chains. And while these large ticket sellers continue to increase and create new fees to charge, we are creating a service where fees can actually decrease.
• Maximize Performance and Reliability
  When you have an event that has immense numbers or extreme surges in demand, it can be difficult for even some established ticketing providers to handle. Regtix is different. It has been built from the ground up to handle the most massive scale imaginable without slowing down or shutting down.
• Perfect the Buying Experience
  Over the past few years of selling tickets, we've learned that perfecting the ticket buying experience is a process that will never end. There are always ways to make things easier, faster, and smarter. We enjoy taking on this challenge everyday as we develop new features and perfect existing ones.
• Perfect Event Entry
  Getting people in the door should not be the climax of your event. It should be fast, simple, and effortless. Sound like a pipe dream? We don't think so. Every day we put effort into creating systems and processes that make event entry easier than ever.
• Perfect Event Management and Promotion
  Our first goal is to ensure that event managers don't have to worry about the technical challenges involved with ticket sales. After that, we want to ensure that they don't need to worry about selling out their event. With Regtix, event managers can focus on creating the experience that their customers are expecting, and we'll handle filling the seats.

While our customers love what Regtix is today, we're even more excited about what we are becoming for tomorrow. The passion and the innovation never stop. Some of us are even known to scan tickets for big events in our dreams. But maybe that's too much information. Oh, well, now you know.
